The Iron Whale on Asbury Park's Boardwalk features a rustic, yet still contemporary design. It befits the spirit of seafarers, with prominent reclaimed wood, ropes, and gas lanterns. Executive Chef Charles Collins creates inventive takes on seafood like a Fish Taco Bar. However, the restaurant also includes a wide selection of meat options. Many of their signature cocktails feature high end Bourbon and Tequila. Likewise, their espresso martini is a popular choice, and frequently receives local recognition. Taking advantage of the boardwalk, Iron Whale boasts an outdoor ocean view, open kitchen, fireplace, and private meeting or party room.

Asbury Park's newest restaurant is beautiful and delicious! The Iron Whale is now open for brunch, lunch, and dinner and is a gorgeous addition to the Asbury Park Boardwalk! It was almost a year ago that I wrote a blog about The Iron Whale being built, and the wait was surprisingly short because they have opened their doors already!

When it came time for Tim McLoone to open his newest restaurant, the twelfth in a career spanning more than three decades, he wanted something different. McLoone's restaurants, which pepper four New Jersey counties and Maryland's National Harbor, are household names here. His first, the iconic Rum Runner in Sea Bright, was lost to superstorm Sandy and rebuilt even finer; Long Branch's Pier House has ocean views that are hard to beat; and Tim McLoone's Supper Club, a second-floor dining and entertainment space in Asbury Park, pays homage to the restaurateur's first love

Iron Whale - a new seafood restaurant by Executive Chef Michael Dolan will open in the soon to be completed Fifth Avenue Pavilion redesign along the Asbury Park Boardwalk, Madison Marquette officials have announced. Dolan, who served as the executive chef at Tim McLoone's Robinson Ale House, as well as other Jersey Shore restaurants, began his career at age 16 as a dishwasher at a Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk venue.
